APEC Water Systems: 35 Years of RO Performance
APEC Water Systems is one of the most established under-sink RO manufacturers in the US market, with a track record dating to 1989. WQA certifies the ROES-50 to NSF/ANSI 58. Its only listed reduction claim under that standard is TDS.
The ROES-50 at $235 is APEC's flagship budget model and competes head-to-head with iSpring's RCC7 at $219. Both are solid systems. Their certification profiles differ. WQA lists the ROES-50 under NSF/ANSI 58. We found no NSF, IAPMO or WQA listing for the RCC7 (checked September 2026). APEC's longer track record and US-based manufacturing are notable advantages; iSpring's 75 GPD membrane (vs APEC's 50 GPD) means faster tank refill. For most households, either choice is well-justified.
