Waterdrop: Compact, Tankless RO for Modern Kitchens

Waterdrop has carved a niche in the RO market with a design philosophy that prioritizes compactness: tankless under-sink systems that eliminate the large pressurized storage tank that has always been the biggest under-sink installation obstacle. For kitchens where under-sink space is limited, the tankless approach is a genuine differentiator.

IAPMO lists the G3P800 under-sink system under NSF/ANSI 58 for lead, fluoride, TDS, cadmium, barium and radium. Our September 2026 check did not cover the D6 countertop. IAPMO also lists the G3P800 under NSF/ANSI 53 for PFOA and PFOS. The integrated composite filter design simplifies replacements but limits the ability to replace individual stages independently, which increases per-gallon filter cost vs modular systems like iSpring.

Who Should Choose Waterdrop

The G3P800 is the RO system on this page with a listed lead and PFOA/PFOS claim (IAPMO, NSF/ANSI 53 and 58), and its tankless design suits kitchens where under-sink space is limited. The D6 countertop RO ($299) is an AquaTru alternative with larger tank capacity. Our certification check did not cover the D6. The iSpring RCC7 costs less with lower annual filter costs, but we found no NSF, IAPMO or WQA certification listing for it (checked September 2026).
